America's Job Center of California

America's Job Center of California (AJCC) is the local One-Stop Center within the County of Kern which serves as the recruitment and training center for local employers and job seekers. AJCC provides basic training courses and also partners with Employers' Training Resource (ETR) for more in-depth training courses. Our many services include:

  • Assisting job seekers: providing no-cost training, job placement services and other job-hunting resources. Including veteran programs.
  • Assisting employers: providing applicant recruitment and screening as well as a variety of other services.
  • Assisting youth: providing no-cost training as well as other resources.
  • "Back-to-Work Center" located at 1405 Commercial Way, Suite 120 in Bakersfield.

Fresno County Library

Fresno County Library in conjunction with the California Department of Veterans Affairs (CalVet), Fresno County Public Library is pleased to help veterans and their families. Please visit the Veterans Resource Center located inside the Central Branch Library 

and the Betty Rodriguez Branch Library.

Our heroes can learn about state and federal education, employment, housing, health, disability and other benefits that may be available to them and their families.

Warrior Getaway

Warrior Getaway establishes a single capability that serves as a trusted and reliable resource for the military community to quickly locate service organizations that satisfy their needs, identify academic programs they are interested in and easily find employers seeking their valuable skills.  Warrior Gateway was launched as a web portal with a searchable resource directory by keyword and geographic location that continues to grow and expand today. New features and continued development has helped Warrior Gateway grow into the best virtual community center for service members and veterans available today. 

Real Warriors
